"Restore" engine oil treatment
Ive heard hype that this stuff actually works since its not like that useless slick 50 with that micro teflon that just gets filtered out
has anyone noticed there engine run a lil better with this treatment?
its that blue oil in the sliver tin can

I put some in a F*rd straight six and noticed an improvement, but I also gave the engine a tune-up and an oil change as well, so it's hard to say if ti worked or not. I heard about one guy that put a little bit in his air compressor and about a week later it was running like new.

i've used it... i love it... used it in a 2000 jeep wrangler in 2005 and it improved gas mileage and acceleration... just put it in my trans am and i'm JUST now getting out of that 500 mile grace period but the car seems to be running a lot better... sounds more like my cam working than gunked up engine internals lol
all i can say is i'll keep using it...

I think it works amazing because I put some in a beat to death silverado that would smoke under WOT so bad you couldnt even see, and after we put restore in it didnt smoke for over a month. Its not a permanent fix and The engine finally went. It did help for a while and I would recommend it

Anything like that is a bandaid...it will possibly dimisnish the symptoms of a worn motor for a short while but won't help anything really in the long run. Like extremly thick oil used to hide and motor or valvetrain noise...

I used it in my mazda truck that had 240,000 on it. it stopped it from using oil. It is just like the no slip for transmissions. it will help get a little more life out of it.

Re: "Restore" engine oil treatment

I use it once a year for my 87 GTA which now uses NO oil & the smoke at start up, stopped after the first time I put it in (at 170,000 miles), after about a month. And my L89 still gets 21 mpg at 200,000 miles!

Re: "Restore" engine oil treatment
Do you have to use it every time you do an oil change or do you use it once in a while?

Re: "Restore" engine oil treatment
I do it once a year "just because". I don't see it hurting anything but my cost of the oil change, so.......

Whats better?
Lucas or Restore? I always thought the Lucas product(s) to be superior?

Re: "Restore" engine oil treatment
i only used Lucas (stop leak and conditioning) for my auto Transmission just once . some improvement smoother shifting during drive. but Restore does make a noticeable difference on high mileage car. ..
