1983 Recaro TA question

I was reading that the 83 Recaro's got a "bird" emblem on the outside sail panels rather than the decal. I haven't seen any '83 Recaros to know for sure and tried searching and came up empty handed. Just wondering if anyone on here owns one or knows for sure if it was an emblem or a decal.

I know the 84's came with the metal bird emblem on the sail panels, but I always thought the 83's came with the regular bird decal.

1982 was the only year with the decal on the sail panel.

Yes, a pic would be great! I haven't seen any '83's before so I'm just curious on the differences between them and '82. I know there probably isn't much, but it's the little variences I'm interested in.

Although you can't see it well from this clip, the 83 Recaro Trans Am in this scene from "The A-Team" has the bird emblem, not decal. If you ever get the chance (or have the DVD), it's the second season episode "When You Comin' Back, Range Rider?".

Here's a picture of David Hasselhoff's personal 83 Recaro Trans Am taken during his Knight Rider days. You can clearly see that this car had the emblem and not the decal:

I Don't think its an 83 looks like an 84 to me, look at the steering wheel . I never seen an 83 steering wheel like that only the 84s. I might be wrong

Re: 1983 Recaro TA question

way to bring back on old thread.
Its definitely an 83 by the shifter.
FYI, The steering wheel is the Leather-wrapped Formula steering wheel, RPO NP5 which was first introduced in 83. it also has the rear wiper.
