1987 Iroc fog lights insert

Hi, I ordered a new GM "CAMARO" black insert that you can attach a front license plate to. The one on my iroc is a flat black but the new one is a high gloss black. I remember the plate as being semi-gloss.Does anyone know for sure what type of finish is correct for an 1987 IROC? Thanks for your time, Robin Bailer

As far as I know, there's only one version, the gloss version (the new one that I purchased several years ago was anyway). Age and weather may cause the piece to lose its luster and appear flat.
