Restoring all Nuts/Bolts/Screws (NEW)

Would like to know how I would go about getting all interior screws? How do I get exact replicas....I am missing over 20 screws so I need alot...plus cargo screws and some underhood screws...where could I go?

1.) Head to the nearest junkyard and find the thirdgen section.

2.) Go to town. Pull out every screw you can find. Look on the floors of all the cars and pick up every screw you can find.

3.) Come home with a big huge bag of thirdgen screws/nuts/bolts, and take one when you need one.

Last time I did this I brought home a 2 lb bag of screws, they only charged me $2.

ive never seen any new hardware for sale, the only new things you can get are the big plastic screws (come in black) and the threaded inserts that they screw into, ive got those from carquest.

O'reilly's and probably some other stores sell at least some of the screws. O'reillys should have 7mm screws.

I was going through this a few years ago with the restoration on my Formula. There are a number of automotive fastener manufacturers out there, the most popular is called Auveco. They have a huge catalog with exact size pics if a lot of fasteners. Google their name and you'll find many distributors of their products. I used to deal with a company in Kansas and they were able to deal with the small orders that I was placing. There are some screws available from parts stores, but if you want the full catalog then a retailer of Auveco is your best bet. Very reasonable prices also.
Lem me know how this works for you.
