I have been trying to find out tho original color of my car, I have gotten nowhere. Where is the paint code and how can I decode it?

 

My '83 has a trim tag on the center of the radiator support that has the exterior color codes along with the interior code,build date,VIN,seat type,CC1 for t-tops if equipped along with a few other letter/number codes I'm not sure of.I know they continued to use the trim tags but not sure after '84 what info is on them.In '84 they started using the Service Production Sheet(SPID = RPO codes) also.If the console lid is the original one to your Camaro it should have the SPID on the underside of it.Make sure the VIN on it matches your car's VIN.

 

yeah I have the original spid sheet, I think Imma get an rpo decoder and check it out, it has alot of things on it....but it seems to be a base model to me, but hey maybe I got somethin special. It is faster than another one that I drove that had a 305.
