Futurama Firebird Reference

Not sure there is such a forum but I figured history would fit it well. Okay, I'm not the oldest guy here, (18) and I was wondering if there is anything cliche about a white Pontiac Firebird? Besides the fact that I own an Arctic White Camaro and my brother has an Arctic White Firebird. On an episode of futurama they made a reference as an orb was about to implode.... "Will the owner of a white Pontiac Firebird... oh Nevermind, ZERO. (Kaboom)" I know it sounds stupid, but please humor me.

I saw that episode. I always just thought of it as a coincidence that they chose such a car...maybe one of the production staff or such had one and wanted it referenced.

That's kind of what I thought. I haven't traveled the US or anything but I haven't seen THAT many white Firebirds. It sure got my attention but then again it kind of trashed whomever drove it because it would tell them to move it, or their lights were left on.

Love the show, Own all four seasons on DVD. I loved how they desided to say anything as a last anouncment before the univerce was destroyed. There are two may white cars out there, too many gray and red. I have a read car and Way to many times I have found myself walking across a parking lot towards the wrong read car.

I remember that episode. And I have a white trans am.

I was watching it late at night.. It was on the tv and I was just drifting off to sleep.. You know, in that state where you are pretty much asleep but sometimes you can still hear sounds and stuff. Well I heard the bit about the firebird, my eyes snapped open, I sat up and went "oh ****" and looked out the window. Took me a few seconds to realize it was just the tv.
