What would you do?

My 84 is in restoration, it needs:
minor body work(two dents...1 rocker panel)
rust on the t-tops
weather stripping on t-top and doors
door hinges need work because of sagging
all interior(seats,carpet,head-liner...etc.)
dash-board

I have $1,500$ to put towards it now, but what first(which is best to do first)?

luckily, i have a newly rebuilt 305 ... so no engine work needed!

Thanx,
Jon

Re: What would you do?

1. Rust
2. Door hinges
3. Weather striping
4. Then what ever else you feel like next

That order would be best. Adam :-)

Yep, he's right there. Totally get that rust taken care of first. It can get expensive if it gets too bad.

Re: What would you do?

first id fix the rust, move onto the weather stripping, and then do the hinges.

Good thing is weather stripping and door hinges aren't too expensive to fix. That's a plus.

Re: What would you do?

1. Rust
2. Bodywork.
3. weather stripping
4. interior.

Never, EVER put weather stripping on before body work, primer and paint is better on just the bare metal, and who like opening their door to overspray?

Re: What would you do?

Rust... check!!!

I will get that done first and then weather-stripping, plan on getting estimates sometime this week.

I plan on ordering most/everything from Classic Industies, and other suggestions?
