Car should have SPID label like this:
Recent Thread:

The response from Recaro was no info to my question in the thread above.
I have a nice collection of car mags during the era, it was nice to see that most 85's tested had the Recaro seats. There was one member here who hadda nice red 86 but it was wrecked. I really dont know how many were made. Any pics?

Re: 1986 Trans Am w/Recaros
I am sure it does.. (have the right codes).a 1 owner car with about 60K miles (just under 100,000kms)
full load TPI.
thx--I knew you'd chime in
Heres a link

IIRC--the Recaros were aroudn a $1000 CDN option. I had found a black 85 last year and it ahd the buildsheet. But it was an LG4
Id take a look but I am pretty commited to an 89 Formula. It's been all redone--paint, body, engine. It's a bit more money but it's all done. And fast!
lind doesnt work! go to Canadatrader.com and search.
But then I miss out on a Recaro T/A--rare.

Prices for F-bodies are way higher in Canada. $6900 is cheap here!
Noting to do with the dollar either--CDN $$ is at .92

Re: 1986 Trans Am w/Recaros
GM Canada Vintage services show the following numbers imported for sale in Canada:
172 w/ AS5 - (Recaro)
I think that I read there were 99 imported to Canada in 1985.
