im still in the middle of this resto, and soon to be doing up my crosslaces.i have been searching high and low for silver ws6 centercaps (not the bird ones) i need them!! i did come across a couple sets of gold ones, but if anybody knows were i could find these it would be a great help.

 

A few years back I was able to get them thru a dealer...

I had the same trouble, my car came with black WS6 centers. I found a lot with birds on them but never a black with WS6. And, to be honest, while searching I never found any silver either. Which I would have bought.

However, I know this dosent help you quest. There are a lot of aftermarket silver, with birds, that can be bought, just change the LOGO in the center.

I've been trying to decide on whether or not to swap out my Firebird center caps on my car, for the WS6 center caps I have. Nobody would notice, but it would be cool to have the WS6 on my center caps. And yes, I do have WS6 suspension.

 

i have found plenty of diff ones on ebay have you looked there??? i am positive that i have seen ws6 ones

 

i look there pretty often, but ive only seen the gold ones, i need them in silver.

I'll get some pics of mine...I think I'd rather keep my 87 with the original caps than change them.

There are several members who own other than GTAs. Most stuff is identical, except for the GTA specific items.

I just went throught the dealer to purchase 4 new WS6 center caps. The silver ones have been discontinued for about 3 years. However, their are 46 Gold WS6 caps left per the dealer I went thought. The list price is $42 per wheel but he sold them to me for $22. If you are interested in the gold ones I can see if he would give me the same price on more of them. Just let me know!

I'm not the seller, and don't know the seller. I'm not even sure what years they are for.

 

I think those are 4th gen center caps, besides they appear to be only the centers, not the whole cap.

Here is a pic of the ones off my 89 GTA parts car. Looks gold though...so thin, hard to be certain.

 

Be careful what you buy off E-bay. I bought a set of 4 caps. When they came in the caps had a WS-6 decal in the middle in place of where the actual disk goes. They looked fine in the pictures but when i got them they were cheesy. Then going back and looking at the pics again i could tell. I didn't like them so much they never made it on the car. Just be careful, i am out $40.00.

 

I have 3 of the silver WS6 caps. I bought a set of 2nd gen snowflake wheels a while back and they had those center caps on them...go figure Anyway, one of them has a cracked center emblem lens, the other two are pretty descent. I'll get pics of them if you want. I have no use for them, if you are interested I'd be willing to part with them, I don't need them.

another thing I noticed is that it seems the part number on these caps are not specific to the WS6 emblem. I have seen 3 other caps with the same number, the typical caps with the gold, or silver bird. Also the chrome caps with the red pontiac logo used on 2nd gens and other '80's Pontiac cars. Not sure if the emblem itself has a part number or what, but the cap itself is the same.

 

Holy @r@p $22 per wheel!!! I paid something like $5 each... I should set up and start making these things....

Yeah. So I emailed them, and that is the pic they sent, but haven't replied again, as to whether it is silver or gold.

Actually I thought there was a version with a silver background and Black lettering... I gotta look at some of the NOS ones I have...

these are the ones I have...Sorry BANDIT, thought these were what you were looking for. Didn't know they had many variations of these emblems for the WS6.

 

i think those are for the fromula rims. silver to match. the other two style's are for crosslaces.

 

Ok thats what I thought... The silver ones would go on the silver center caps... The black ones go on the black center caps...
