Yeah, I was thinking "what the hell?" too......

VINs start with 1G... but look at the windshield, doors, wheel wells, and rear plate. Look familiar?

The base platform was now the GM F platform for 1987, with the trailing edge of the spare now forming part of the car's rear bumper.

Personally, the car looks like crap. It would have been nicer if they made another special edition thirdgen.

Interesting . . . Yes
Appearance . . . Yuch! Looks like they slapped a bunch of ugly left over automotive parts from the 70's & 80's that have absolutley no consistant style just to see if they would fit.
Reminds me of that old Johnny Cash song, "One Piece At A Time"!

Re: Stutz Bearcat II = thirdgen

They did that same thing with the Avanti too.
If your gonna revive an old car, just build it yourself.
Don't make a "new" version on a current companys platform.

Re: Stutz Bearcat II = thirdgen

The RED car was originaly an 87 Formula 350 ... It is kind of neat, not my personal taste, but interesting...

The Silver/Black car was originally an Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale.

Its another example of cars like the Johnson Phantom and the Togan.
