I posted earlier concerning 1984 Recaro rims and nobody responded. I mentioned that in that year, we are aware that you were able to "special order" the bowling ball hubcaps but we are not sure whether the rims were painted gold or left original aluminum colour. Can anyone help us or does nobody know the answer to this??? Please help. We need to get this car together but do it properly.

 

Recaros got gold painted rims.

Regarding the “special order”, 15 in Turbo Cast wheels (with the bowling ball hub caps), they where not available at all in 84. The 14 in. version was but it was only available on T/As with the base level suspension and on S/E’s. Since the Recaro came with 15” wheels and WS6/7 the 14 in Turbo Cast wheels were not an option. A Recaro would have either N78 Hi Tech turbo or N24 Turbo finned 15” wheels.



Of course they can always be added later.
