Original Batteries

Anyone have pictures of their original battery? I found these online and I don't know which years these covered. The red one below is the original for an 81 Camaro. Was it also the original for an 82? The black top is from an 87 Grand National. I would again assume that this was used on the 87 Camaro, but what other years?

Re: Original Batteries

scott, that second photo looks like the battery I remember my '88 GTA having on it when it was new. I don't have any photos of it but I distinctly remember the large "Delco Freedom" lettering on the top.

Re: Original Batteries

That looks like the original from my '88. Can't believe I accidentally threw it out a few years ago. I remember the gray bottom. I'd love to find one of those. There has to be one sitting around somewhere.

Re: Original Batteries

Does anyone know of any company that can rebuild or sells factory original batteries for your car? I have a 1991 Z28 vert and I would love to have an original 1991 Delco battery, used in a Camaro. Thanks

Re: Original Batteries

I was just cleaning out the garage and found the 2nd battery I had in my 88 camaro. It does look just like the original except the label is different and the bottom half is black instead of gray. Even though the original was accidentally thrown out I guess I have the next best thing. Now if I could find a date code on it. I'm guessing it's early 90's.
