what is the emblem on the front bumper of 82 and 83 camaros(may be on others) ive seen pics of both the bers and sport coupes with this emblem on the front, where can i get one, does it just say camaro

 

The only emblem i know of is the red/white/blue with the Chevrolet bowtie but they come in different colors aound the bowtie.Check this link to Modern Day Muscle http://www.moderndaymuscle.com/inc/s...mblem&n=655859
And match the one closest to the one on your car if you still have one.If not you may have to look thru pictures of the same year to find the correct one.

 

not the badge, if you look at the picture here u can see a emblem to the right of it, i actually think this one is a berlinetta(i can see emblems on the back section too) but ive seen pictures of some sport coupes with this as well when i was looking, but their all like this not clear enough to see it. i found some other sport coupes on cardomain that appear to have that emblem

Opps my mistake,when I think of the front emblem I only think of the center one(and the only one on the Z28).You're right both the Sport Coupe(Chrome/Black)and Berlinetta(Gold/Black)used them at least '82-'84 but not sure after this.

The gold version used on the Berlinetta is but I'm not sure about the chrome version used on the Sport Coupe.Modern Day carrys them(the link I posted should show them)and I'm sure Hawks or one of the other board sponsors as well as Classic Industries,Year One etc would.They are adhesive back as far as I know.

 

ive looked thru every thirdgen site i know and a few i dont, even ebay, i havent even been able to find a used one.

 

Maybe I should go dig out my old 84 Z28 front bumper cover, and see if the emblem is still on it? And grab the aluminum front bumper support!

Sport Coupes didn't get a header script emblem - JUST the Berlinetta.

On the Sail Panels the Berlinetta got metal Script Emblems from 82-84 and Plastic from 85-86, The LT got metal in 87.

As far as the "CAMARO" emblem on the fenders - The Gold Version was limited to the Berlinettas and the Chrome was used only on the Sports Coupes through 87.
