1987 iroc no options
i recently purchased a 1987 camaro iroc and it has no options. no air, tilt, cruise, powerwindows, locks, or mirrors, it even doesn't have a button to open the power trunk. The fuel tank seems small, the speedo goes to 145mph, has 4-wheel disc brakes and the 350 auto. no t-roofs either.
does anyone know more about this car?

Re: 1987 iroc no options
That's a lean IROC alright. I could live without those other options but no tilt? I wonder how long it sat on the lot before it sold?

Re: 1987 iroc no options
I also own a 1991 z28 with full load/no t-top. the rear brake rotors on the 87 are thicker by almost 150%. The L98 is in the 91 @ 245hp. The 1987 would hammer my 1991, hands down, the 91 has 56250 original miles. The 87 has 93125 miles. Go figure

Well you have a matching numbers motor with the HL139296
V -build plant- Flint
05 -build month- May
15 -build day
The 5NA is the engine code but the 5 must be a S.SNA denotes a 350 for '87
H -build year- 1987
L -vehicle assembly plant- Van Nuys

Z49 ... Canadian car too. Gotta go fast up here to keep your engine warm when it's cold out. :-)
I recall test driving an 88 Iroc back in 88. Guy ordered it, and decided not to buy it. It had a 350, Auto and that's about it. No cassette deck - just AM/FM. Figured the person who ordered it just wanted a go fast car.
Mark.

Re: 1987 iroc no options
I have an 87 also that came with no options, my car has no a/c, radio, heat insulation or any sort of accessories. It also has extremely stiff suspension and thicker sway bars, I always thought it was a 1le but they didnt make those in 87. Go figure...
