L98?
1st i don't know if this is the correct section to be posting....
anyways i am thinking about buying a engine but the owner dosn't know much about. he says he pulled it from a camaro but dosn't know the year. all he knows it is a 350. the block casting he have sent me where 14093638. i did do some reserch and it looks like it is a TPI motor that looks to be 87-95. my guestion is "is this a L98?" is this the one w/ 250Hp and 345Lb tq? thanks any help would be great!

Re: L98?
The ecm is the same for 305's and 350's. The prom is different. If it has the tpi intake with centerbolt heads and is a one piece rear main then chances are it is the L98. As to which one you have is another story. the hp numbers are as follows. 220, 230, 240, 245, 250. The 250hp L98 is only available in the corvette. Go to your local engine shop and give them the numbers on the block and they should be able to look it up.
