quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

There is a guy here in Puerto Rico selling a yellow 92 Firebird, wich he says is a Firehawk. I havnt gone to see it in person since he lives about an hour from me, but there is some stuff that dont seem right to me. He says that it has a 305 automatic & t-tops. Would SLP build such a car? I dont want to drive an hour to waste my time.
here is the picture & it looks like it has TA from the front right?

Sounds like a lie to me
He's fulla ****!
as I would put it lol.

From my knowledge the SLP Firehawk had a 350, along with the Formula hood
and correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't all the firehawks red?

If any of the Vets around here want to correct any rookie mistake I may have pointed out, feel free.

I think Ive seen diffrent colos on the Firehawks. But the rest of the stuff you mentioned was the same things that I tought, & I dont think that a Firehawk woud had t-tops.

Re: quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

well thats not a firehawk all firehawks were formulas to begin with which meant no ground effects, and power bulge hood. there were a white, and a green one built. So no that is not a firehawk........... however that could be a slp trans am they built a few in 92, and they had a bunch of slp goodies in them

Re: quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

That's not even a Trans Am. The hood is a base model hood and if you look at the rear spoiler (you have to really look to see it), it is the pedestal mount base model spoiler.

That is just a base 305 TBI Firebird.

Not to mention I don't see how according to your location, you could "drive" from Miami to Puerto Rico in an hour!

I don't think the guys knows much about his own car, so how can you trust any other info from him?? Maybe in his mind he really believes it's a Firehawk....

SLP built only Firehawks (one was a Trans Am convertible) NO other cars were transformed by SLP--Just a FYI

Re: quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

First of all there were no yellow Firehawks built, so right off the bat, the owner of that yellow car is either lying or misinformed. The Firehawks built were painted as follows:

Mandatory Red 81U: 21 cars
Medium Quasar Blue Metallic 80U: 1 car (#022)
Medium Green Metallic 45U: 1 car (#024)
Arctic White 10U: 1 car (#025)
Dark Jade Gray Metallic 18U: 1 car (#026)

Second, he would have to have RPO "B4U" to back up the claim that it's a Firehawk. He doesn't have it. OK, some of the Firehawks did not have B4U because they weren't red, or for whatever reason, but you could get the car's VIN and check it with SLP and find out that it's not a Firehawk, but I think it would be a waste of time.

That info is straight from Alex's site at http://www.transamgta.com/Firehawk/ and I highly recommend everyone reads it for accurate Firehawk information.

Re: quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

by the way, Firehawk #027, the one and only Firehawk which was built from a Trans Am (as opposed to a Formula) did in fact have ground effects. None of the rest of them did. You can see it on Alex's site in the link.

Re: quiestions about a suposed 92 Firehawk

1) ITS NOT a firehawk
2) Its a Base Firebird
3) No Firehawk came in Yellow (although it would have been cool)
4) Its NOT a Trans Am
