I'm putting my interior back together. Previous owner tore it apart so I'm trying to figure out how it gose back together, which has been no picnic.

I'm working on putting the ECU back in and I just can't get it lined up. I'm pretty sure it is mounted up right with the bottom of the plastic mount under the dash screwed fast to the metal bracket on the bottom of the dash. I'm pretty sure this would all be located behind the passenger side heater vent tube. I'm thinking that the Pin on the ECU gose up through the metal dash mount (hole in center) at the top right hand corner of the dash.

I tried putting it in with no luck It looks as though that the pin on the top of the ECU is in the wrong slot If I install it with the plastic mounting bracket against the heater vent. If I turn the ECU so that the ECU itself is against the vent I can't line up the plastic mounting brackets screw holes with anything.

Dose anyone have a pic of how this thing should be?

on mine it was velcroed in and i drove it for a couple days without the underdash plastic in and it fell. im not sure if the velcro is somebodys laziness or if its how its supposed to be

 

I figured it out at the J-yard last week. The bottom of it mounts to the bottom of the dash. The pin part at the other end gose into a hole in the speaker mount.
