Need some documentation help

So far I can NOT find the RPO sticker on my car (83 Z). Just e-mailed vehicleinvoice@gmmediaarchive.com on help with pulling up documentation but am hearing that GM might not be letting them help any longer.

Have heard the dealers can sometimes help but its hit an miss.

There used to be and still may be a site that for a fee will print you up another window sticker but I guess it can be hit and miss on acuracy???

Car has 26k miles and from what I can tell has everything but tinted windows and all came from the factory. I hope to find out if the tint was just removed maybe.

Any help would be great.

OHHH ok, I know it has one of those, don't remember and RPO codes but I was not looking for them. Ill go check.

Were those supposed to be black?

The bumper was replaced year back due to a flat bed tow truck driver screwing it up and the new one was painted and a buddy of mine things the painted painted that also (now red).

very little of that is actually RPOs. Here is decoding for what I know off the top of my head:

N157239 - I don't know what the N is, but I believe the rest is your car's sequence number. Those 6 digits are the last 6 characters in your VIN. All camaros started with a 1 (and firebirds with a 2). This means your car was sequence #57239 for 1983 production. If that isn't the sequence number, then it's one of the other 6 digit groupings on that tag.

04D is when your car was assembled. 04 for April and D for 4th week of the month

75L and 75U are your paint code. The "L" and "U" stand for lower and upper body.

AR9, CC1, Z28 and D80 are RPOs. CC1 is t-tops, Z28 is obvious, and I don't remember the other two off the top of my head.

There was an original SPID sheet in my 84 Trans Am on the underside of the center console lid that listed all RPOs

I think your mixing up your info. GM won't let Pontiac Historic Services do invoices on 87 and newer Pontiacs.

The email you listed is for Allied Vaugn. I see no reason why they can't do it for you.

From what I know about Firebirds....

I believe the first "D" is for the model year: 1983

The "1FP87" is the car series.

The "N" is plant of construction: Norwood, OH

The "AR9" is the seat code.

Everything else was explained above, I think. Good luck in your quest.

Have yet to hear back from them.

I was told the car came with full power (t-tops obviously) and the rear wiper from the factory. Also has the dual fans but who knows if thats factory.

So it looks like the rear wiper is not from the factory? It has the washer sprayer also.
