Re: Here she is again
with only 87 miles (if that is accurate) that would definitely be an excellent buy..but this dealer must be on crack..improper vehicle description (15 inch wheels???) and apparently has no idea of the going price of a Camaro..mint condition or otherwise. Realistically I think he could get the original brand new price for it..but for what he's asking..he'll need to wait another 20 years for when it is truly a rare car.

Re: Here she is again
why didnt you buy it for 6,500 if it had 56k (you could have turned around and so that for a big profit real quick) .......i have a feeling it was a GN maybe with GNX badges ...... cuz he would be insane to let that go for that amount, divorce or not

Re: Here she is again
nope all orginal. he still has it. Puts out by the road every now n then. Mostly just sits in his garage. Hes brought it to the dealership where i work and had it serviced and i ran the rpo codes from the car on the rpo decoder on here. Says its a GNX. I still may buy it and put a few miles on her until winter time then retire her to the barn and spend time doing work to her and my TA. Im the only one who has actually stopped and looked at it. He says hed like to keep it local so thayt he can have the chance to buy it back after the divorce is done, his reasoning for selling it cheap... Wants his wife to get the least amount of money she can even if it means selling his pride and joy..... If i can find the rpo codes on the paper that i wrote them down on, ill post them on here. I think they are somewhere in my toolbox...

GNX's are bad ***, I've never seen one in person but I have riddin in a few GN's and multiple T-types and all of them have been very fast nice cars so I could only imagine what a GNX would be like, post some pics if you can Joined: May 2008

I wonder if it still smells new. I do notice a dark stain on the drivers floorboard.
Re: Here she is again
If that is a real GNX for $6500 there is NO reason not to buy it!!
No reason, just make sure its real.
As for the Camaro, that car has been for sale for a while, it's just that the market is very poor right now for specialty cars like that. OTT it's not an unreasonable price, think about it, it is probably one of 5 lowest mileage late ThirdGens left out there.

Re: Here she is again
For $50K, there are about a million other cars I'd buy before any thirdgen. I'd rather have a car that I can drive and not have the "value" (I use that term loosely with this car) drop off a cliff if I put some miles on it. It's going to be for sale for a long time at that price.

I doubt that it's a GNX for that. It's probably a GN. Kinda sounds like the 86 350 that doesn't exist yet people have seen it but can never prove it. If the guy wants to get rid of it and not let the wife know, I'll give him $15k and state that he sold it to me for $6500. Again, I doubt its a GNX

Re: Here she is again
it's awesome that it has low mileage, but think of all the age related problems. dry rotted bushings, cracking / dry seals hoses etc. You'll prolly have to put a lot of money into it if you start using it and what not.
But it is hella nice...like going back in time
