Tell me all about my Camaro please

I'm trying to gather all the stock information I can about my car as I find this intriguing so any information from the what originally came option wise to the exact type (not just saying auto lol) would be great.

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3313430
Here is a link to my Cardomain site with partial VIN for decoding, and my RPO codes. Also I found this number by the radiator 00 8197 if that helps.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated, and not to be rude but the source of your information would be great too than just saying you know X about my car.

Also the stickers on my drivers side door were painted over...is there anywhere else on the car I can find out cool information of when the date it was manufactured/etc like the stickers on the door were suppose to say. Thanks

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

Your car domain site actually has the full VIN on it

https://www.thirdgen.org/rpodecoder

You can download a RPO decoder from there that will decode 99% of your RPOs

Thanks for the RPO decoder, but what is the .net framework it requires to run? Yeah I saw the warning on the sticky about the VIN numbers so I blurred out the last 5 #'s.

Where can I find an accurate source of the stock HP as I keep seeing different numbers posted and what about production numbers so I can know what # Iroc/Camaro I had for that year.

It's a free download from Microsoft that allows the program to work on your computer. It's required.

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

Thanks guys for the information and keep it coming.

Also i'm confused about the VIN. If the last six (after L for me since that is the plant its made at) is the production number how come that site says there are only 96k camaros that year yet mine is a number over 100k....????

Also how come my mileage (look at my cardomain for pic) only shows 5 digits with the six being the one that rolls over??? I know my car doesn't have 24k miles...

Edit to add: I tried downloading the net. framework thing and its not working? Does anyone else have the rpo decoder installed on their computer?

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

Because the numbers started at 100001, iirc.

What isn't working for you as far as the .NET Framework or the RPO decoder?

Not sure what you mean about your odometer... the highest number it can display is 99,999.9 which means you probably have 124k

Thanks for the answer with the odometer. We though it meant something like that but weren't entirely sure.

I'm having an issue with the .NET Framework. I've attempted to download it three times now with every time it failing around a certain time in. I don't foresee me being able to troubleshoot my way through this after looking around the net for a while. Is there anyway somebody could use the RPO Decoder for me and post what was found? I would greatly appreciate it as I am looking to learn as much about my car as possible.

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

I had a question about this..

B2L
PERFORMANCE PACKAGE ENGINE PACKAGE V8, 5.7L. PFI

What exactly does the PFI stand for? Does this mean I do not have TPI?

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

PFI is port fuel injection.
it sprays into the port of the manifold

TBI uses a central injector or two that spray onto the throttle body butterfly.

Sorry if this comes off noobish, but does that mean I don't have TPI?

Re: Tell me all about my Camaro please

PFI = Port Fuel Injection
TPI = Tuned Port Fuel Injection

For a Thirdgen they are equal. You will also see the V-6s with MPFI, Multi-Port Fuel Injection.

You have TPI. All 350s in Thirdgens came with TPI, except for the 91/92 Firehawks which got a T-Ram (Tunnel Ram).
