Help Please!... Value for MINT...'91 TA CONV

I am considering the following and would very much appreciate any comments with regards to value!
1991 Trans Am Convertible
Triple Black
NO MODS......All Original, Unrestored Excellent "Survivor" Quality
auto......loaded.....cold air and all works perfect
only 42,000 orig miles.....shows like 6,000 orig miles
NO Winters......always heated storage
Awesome ORIG paint......interior like new ( no marks, scuffs)
Rims are perfect
Black top orig and Mint
Engine compartment .....all orig....Like new
Owner History from day one and all 3 were Fanatics about maintaining it!
Very Difficult to find Nicer One!
Owner is thinking about selling.....not sure yet what he wants for it!
I want to make an offer but want to be realistic in this "Downturn Marketplace"
Thanks all!!
Looking forward to some opinions........
Later....

Hey i would love to have that car, sounds really clean especially blk/blk. I seen one very similiar IROC in LA, guy was asking 9k. Dont think he got that, but it was gone pretty quick. I say offer him 6K. If he accepts, have the cash, sign the pink, and burn rubber outta there!!!

If it is truly show quality with absolutely nothing wrong... $10K easy (especially if it has a 5 speed)... 40K is lower miles..

There is a HUGE gap between really nice cars and your run-of-the-mill cars that were just cars... You are always far ahead to get a car done and you have to do nothing to it...

Agreed with John. If the seller were to do any at all research, he would find that a 91-92 TA Vert in any kind of decent shape is automatically worth almost twice as much as a non vert car. You would be hard pressed to find a sub 50K 91-92 TA Vert in as nice a condition as you describe for less than 10K. And it's been this way for a while now, in a good market and in this market.

What you should offer is totally up to you, you know the guy and the money you have to spend. The car sounds really nice and we'd like some pics.

All we can do is tell you what is should be selling for. $10+K.

Good luck!

RPM is correct,
The rule of thumb is typically a Vert sells for about 1.5x to 2x of an equally equipped coupe...
