History / Originality Got a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!

Just wondering.

Re: Just wondering.

I don't know if we'll ever really be able to answer this question. There were about 1,500 of them made as I recall. I know at least 2 have been destroyed. A friend of mine lent his to a friend which totaled the thing. He flipped it actually as I recall. I saw another one at a junk yard several years ago. It was in BAD shape. The back end of it was smashed up to the head rest of the drivers seat. We'd really need to obtain records of all the cars and find out what happened to all of them to ever truly know.
