so i just got this 86 iroc and i was searching through the glove box and found this.

its the original new car registration back from 86, the woman i bought it from matches the name and so does the vin.
i also found this.

an 87 owners manual, she said thats what she got back in 86 and has been in the car since, dont make sense to me if its an 86, does anyone know if they were puting 87 manuals at the end of 86?

i was just wondering if anyone else had anything like this or better?

 

Well, the temporary paper says it was purchased in December, 1986, so I might've thought it was actually an '87 car, since '87s came out in the fall of '86. But the VIN verifies it's an '86. So having been a leftover '86, it might've been on the lot so long that its owner's manual somehow disappeared... as things sometimes do when a lot of people have had their hands on things. So the dealer probably put an '87 manual in it. I wouldn't think there's really any way of knowing at this point anyway.
