Anyone ever seen this white with red/black stripes sitting over a black or gray interior? I know GM didn't keep track of options combos, but all the ones I've seen sit over a red interior, never anything else so I was curious to know if anyone had seen any other interior color for this exterior package...love the white/red/black:

I think I remember reading they had a grouping of preferred interior colors to go with exterior paint colors, but they were just recommendations from the factory. If a dealer had a customer who wanted color combos away from the rec's I believe it could be done. They just needed to check the appropriate boxes on the order form

I don't know what years but here are some pics.

 

What RPO code do you have for your stripe's color? I was reading the color combinations for 1988 on the camaro source site and for 1988 the red and black wasn't offered with grey or black interior, only for the red interior. You might have an exception with your combination if it is original.

 

you are probably going to have to tell me where the codes for the stripes are, and interior codes too. as far as i know it is all original except for the steering wheel

 

my car is a 90 model and has this combination. interior is red

 

My 88 IROC is just like Turbo's in color scheme. White, with t tops, red/black stripes, and grey cloth interior. My car has a manual seat, however, and is a local piece. My stock interior is tattered and original, just like the exterior! Thanks, Rudy.

 

Look in your center console and the codes should be there. List the codes and I'll tell you if your stripe color is original.

Thanks for posting your RPO's, now I don't have to look them up! Your stripe code is 89A, and the interior code is 82C for grey custom cloth interior.

What colors were for the stripe code 89A on a 1988 Iroc? I've seen what they have listed for a 1991, but was that the same color code for the 1988? It seems like I've seen a chart with stripe RPO codes broke down by different years and they were different than the 1991 and 92s.

 

according to the rpo decoder its red and grey? but i dont know.

 

why is it interesting, because IIRC ur car was only a few check boxes from being a 1LE car, the only thing I dont remember is if there where any 350 1LE cars
