Keep 1988 Iroc or turn into CMC
I have been looking for a camaro for the CMC race series and came across and purchased a MINT condition 1988 Iroc 305 TPI 5-speed and with all options, G92 option, etc..
Has 72,700 miles. exterior is about 97% perfect - few typical dings in front from rocks. Interior is 100% and engine bay looks like it never saw any dirt or dust.
I see thirdgens on ebay wil extremely low mileage going for in the 20,000's. I wonder if this car will ever be like that one day. say 20 yrs from now if the car has about 100k on it i think the mileage will consider it to be a high mileage car and might not be worth as much later. Or maybe im completely wrong and this car could be worth a ton down the road.
I dont think I can afford another thirdgen to turn into a CMC car so im trying to get some opinions here... leave the car as is or go ahead and turn in CMC and not regret it later
I love driving this car as is though.

Do NOT, I repeat NOT molest a low mile 5 speed IROC for this purpose. There are PLENTY of other cars that can be turned into a race car.
DONT DO IT
DONT DO IT
Re: Keep 1988 Iroc or turn into CMC
72k miles is relatively low mileage for a car like that. Most have over 150k rounds.
Find a $200 beater with no title if you're building a race car. They're coming out of the woodwork because most people don't want a car with no title.
