1986 IROC Z What is it Worth?

I stumbled across a 1986 IROC Z, LG4, 5 speed with 21,000 original miles, posi 3.23 gears, 4 wheel disc brakes. Hard top. Not mint, but in very nice condition. Has original paint. No fading or pealing at all.
No power windows, locks, or seat.

What is it worth?

Post pics...that will help. To get started, I'd guess $6,000-8,000 if its close to perfect. Lack of t-tops hurt it. I'm considering a yellow (rare) LG4 stick IROC with about 50k. He wants $8,500, but I know he's gotta be a good $1,000 too high, even if it is perfect.

With no t-tops, I'd guess that's your range.

It's worth whatever you or someone is willing to pay!

We are not appraisers and cannot provide any valid information based on what you provided. A very low mileage car could be in rough shape or in mint shape. Without knowing more, I'd say the car is worth somewhere between $2000 and $10000. It sounds like a complete stripped IROC-Z. Again, no details that we can work with and not being able to see the car, hear it run or know anything about it's mechanics will only give you bogus speculation.

Exactly! Some say no t-tops hurts it, but I wouldn't touch a t-top car. It's all down to the buyer, and on a 20+ year old car, who knows?

It's worth nothing. Now give that person's contact info so I can tell them.

Sounds like a cool car, post some pics.

I agree with JasonE. $8000 is probably at the upper end of the market value if the car is really in near perfect condition. If you have an ebay account, do a search for Camaro IROC-Z in the used car section, then select the option "show completed items" and you'll see what some similar cars sold for.

Re: 1986 IROC Z What is it Worth?

Car is located in Cali.

I'm in Mass, so the cost to fly it out there and transport it back to new england is at the top of my budget. I think I'm going to pass on this car and hope for one just as nice closer too me, so I'm nothing throwing away money on air fares and transportation.

I'm going to let the guy know about this site so he can post it up on here. Hopefully he will and all you guys will be able to see the pictures...
I say its worth around 8,500
