It looked like an average white 92 TA vert with a black top, and black gut. It was a 305 tpi car obviously. But just very clean

 

Thats all I have now. May be able to get more today if I see the car again

 

This could be a model for restoration. Take 100 hi res pics and save them for the future.

A local mega used car dealer here in Syracuse NY (Usedcarking.com
aka Sun Chevrolet) Had a 2002 Trans Am ragtop 350 auto. It had the
snorkle hood HO? SLP? special? Only 7000 miles !

They wanted $24,xxx.... It sold in a couple days !

Sounds like a WS6 to me...not an awful price for the miles, IF the car was mint. Auto trans definitely does not help the price though, especially with the high number of 6 speeds they made in 2002.

Just FYI, the last year an F-Body had a 350 was 1997. LS1's are 346 cubic inches, and do not share a single part with any 350.

 

that thing is beautifully clean; looks like it just rolled off the lot. that takes some serious restraint and care to keep a car of that age in such mint shape

 

guys, keep it on topic. This is not a 4th gen board, so discussing the sale of a 2002 Trans Am and it being a 350 or 346 isn't pertinent to the 3rd gen community.

 

Justin, thanks for sharing the photos and passing on the website to the owner. That certainly is a clean and preserved Trans Am that would be great to see more photos and information.

Guessing it must have been the auto version since there's no hydraulic cylinder present.

Someone loves it, they even removed the manifolds to remove the surface rust. That's love because that is a PITA!

 

The gray coating on the stock manifolds lasts a long time on later cars. I've got a set in the garage with over 75k miles that are still cast iron gray.

 

he removed them and painted them. Last year he was docked some points because his manifolds were rusty. He made sure not to get docked this year lol

 

looks like the eastwood coating..
most manifolds had atleast some rust on them before they were delivered..
I'd think he would loose points for putting a non stock coating on them rather than leaving it 100% stock.
I have about 4 sets of those evap hoses with the paper tags.. some nice some not

 

Good thing he didn't come to one of the 1000 point judged shows that I've judged. The car would be classed in the original unrestored class and painting the manifolds is a restoration/change from original and he would be docked points. This has been an issue with a lot of the 4th gen crowd also. They get docked points for rust on the rear axle when the undercarriage is judged and can be docked points if it's painted to prevent the rust! It's a no win situation dependent on the judges. Unfortunately, most judges are not experts on the cars they judge and they deduct points for things that are factory correct.
