And what was just fired up...
There's still a ways to go before its streetable, but at least I can get it
it in/out of the garage under its own power.

Re: Its A-L-I-V-E
Been a long time getting from there to here.Affirmative.
350, GM "Hot" cam, HO TPI heads mild port/polish, 1.6 roller rockers,
Hooker shorties into full 3" Magnaflow stainless, a 454 TBI w/ some
upgrades, sitting on the Edelbrock manifold.
The old 305 ECM starts it, but it looks & smells to be very rich.
So the next big item is going to be one of RBOB's controllers.

Meanwhile, I'm stuck in the mud trying to get the brakes operational.
There doesn't seem to be any pressure getting to the rear units.

Cool to see you went with the modded TBI approach. Most guys stick a carb on and call it a day but TBI setups have excellent driveability when tuned nicely.

Yeah, that was my thoughts exactly way back in the
planning stage.
And sometime in the future, I hope it will be again.
Meanwhile, in the midst of uneven idling, injectors with vastly different
spray volume, and a bodacious door rattling miss...
well keep reminding me, lest I forget.

Def change that 305 ecm to the 454 one. Thats got to be throwing it off big time.

Re: Its A-L-I-V-E
Current update:
-- Injector problem seems to have abated for the moment.
Not sure if it was my observation, or if some small impediment
cleared itself out.
-- Solved the brake issue (no pressure to rear line) w/ a new mas-cyl.
-- Noticed low output voltage. Alternator tested bad. I thought we had
that rebuilt at a local shop. Started checking my receipts, and found
as the first thing we had to do after purchasing the vehicle, an O'Reilly
reciept (jun '00) for a Delco unit. So back to the store w/ receipt in hand,
where the manager warrantied out a new unit -- after commenting that
was the oldest warranty he's yet serviced.
So it pays to hang onto the receipts!
-- Next major item are some coolant leaks: a) the fittings I used to re-route
the heater bypass valve, and b) somewhere in the front.
-- Then I can tackle the rough idle, which I suspect is a plug wire issue.
(I made the dist. conn's on a set of Taylor universal wires.)

Coolant leak gremlins:
After sealing down the bypass valve fittings, pressure testing
revealed the dreaded heater core leak.
Pulling the dash apart a SECOND TIME ... major PITA

Coolant leak update:
turns out to be a bolt on the water pump.
Before any wise-a**** start up about sealant ...
I've built half-a-dozen chevy eng's, never used sealant,
and never had a leak.
Guess my luck just ran out.
