Haven't posted in a while but I'm finally in the market for an IROC after my last one caught on fire a few years back. Got a few questions about a car I'm going to look at.

This guy has a 1990 54k orig mile IROC. 305/5spd. It is not a 1LE car, but the guy is telling me it has a "1HP" package. Has all the 1LE options (alum driveshaft, baffled tank, 3.42 rear, oil cooler, big brakes, fog lamp delete (with brake cooling ducts in place that he says is factory).

Anybody heard of this or know anything more? I hope I stumbled upon something good here but I want to make SURE.

 

He either means 1LE, you misunderstood, or he's full of it.

Get the vin number, get the RPO codes. Decode it yourself. Trust no seller.

 

He's sending me a picture of the RPO codes. See what it really is.

 

AFAIK the only IROCs that came foglight delete were 1LE cars.

Doesn't look like anything special, other than being a low mileage orig IROC. Is there a fog lamp delete RPO?

 

Get the VIN and try running an RPO code search on compnine.com and see what pops up.

Yup LOL, he's full of it alright. That car had fog lights, T96 is the code for them.

 

Too bad. Looks super clean. Still a 1990 IROC with 50k. I'd say it's still worth 6-7k.. Would you all agree?
