Hey guys, I'm getting my hands on an 89' iroc. Or at least I think it's 89. And I'm pretty sure it's an iroc. Anyways, what's the best way to ID this vehicle, also what are rpo codes? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the VIN. If the 8th digit is an "F" or an "8", then it's an IROC. If it's an "E", then it may or may not be an IROC, and you'll need to do some more research.
if its not an iroc its definetly a z28. it's a tpi, but idk if its a 305 or a 350, thanks for the help.

Hey guys, maybe there's something else y'all can help me with. This iroc has a vbelt set up. What exactly would I need to switch it to a serpentine? Are there any good kits available?

If it's an '89 it should NOT have the Vbelt setup... Its not an '89 or it's had a motor swap. Or someone just swapped the accessories for some unknown reason....

You guys need to read more than just the heading when responding to posts. Just a few posts up, he stated that the car is an '86.Originally Posted by 1MeanZ

My response was directed at everybody that responds to just the last post or responds to just the title and doesn't read everything else. I've seen it happen many times that people respond either incorrectly based on original thoughts or they respond incorrectly because of they just didn't read the thread. I'm just sayin'
