"Sticker" price when new
I have been trying to figure out just what the original cost of my IROC was. I have looked at base price and option prices in various books but it is hard to figure out an exact price because some options are included in other packages .
Does anyone have their original window sticker for a car similar to mine?
1985 IROC, L69, 5-speed, no t-tops, standard cloth interior, top am/fm cassete radio, power steering/ brakes/windows (no power locks), drum rear brakes, open rear end.
Any help will be appreciated.
I have always been curious about what the original buyer paid for the car.The closest I can come up with is somewhere in the 14K range.

Don't Know If This Will Help Mine's A 1984, Pretty Similar To Yours, I Don't Know How Much Of A Price Increase There Was Between The 1984 And 1985 Model Year Base Price,Mine Was $10,608 I Think Your $14,000 Range Estimate Is Pretty Close.

Do a search for "original invoice" and you'll find a link and phone number for Allied Vaughn. They can send you the factory invoice for your car. It will have the price, options and dealer that ordered the car.

Re: "Sticker" price when new
Just a follow up. I contacted Allied Vaughn and ordered the invoice for my car.
What they sent me was very informative. It showed the MSRP to be $15,140. The invoice price was shown at $13,491.58
I also found that the car was originally delivered to Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort IL. The only surprise on the options list was the body side moldings ($55) that were not on the car when I bought it.
I sent an e-mail to the dealership asking if they had any records going back that far but haven't heard anything back yet.

Yes they are. In fact according to their internet page they are one the highest volumn dealers in IL.
I might have to take a ride next summer and get some pictures with the IROC in front of their showroom. I did that with my Firebird at the dealership where it was sold just before they took down the Pontiac signs.
Finding the history of a vehicle is sort of like following a family tree (with out the embarrassing ancestors mixed in).
