hey guys i bought a basket case 86 iroc and need to know what color badges it came with its red and the dash emblem is orange/red but wheels have silver writing on the center caps should the rocker emblems be orange/red or silver?

 

If you want to be authentic, look in the console glove compartment for the RPO decal. If it's there, make sure the car VIN matches the stickers vin. From there, you can decipher the codes on this site for the original color schemes.

well i came up empty looking through the rpo's anybody know what this color this car came with or the codes for silver or red rocker emblems?

 

If the wheels have silver IROC-Z lettering in the center caps then Im pretty sure the decals should be silver as well.

 

 

The following from Subroc:

From the factory it went;

Gold wheels/gold door decals = gold center caps
Silver wheels/red decals = red center caps
Silver wheels/silver decals = silver center caps

The only way to get the gold centers was with gold wheels and decals. Silver and red centers came with silver wheels. And when i say what color the center cap is im referring to the lettering. All center caps from 85-87 should be black with the silver/red/gold iroc lettering. From 88-90 i think all the centers were the same and kind of a silverish color instead of black.

On the RPO label look for codes 86A & 86P.
86A is the code for silver/black stripes with silver IROC-Z door decals.
86P is the code for silver wheels.

 

It has the 86a @86p rpo codes the only thing that seems strange is that it came with a red tuneportinjection scrip should'nt that be silver also? boy basket cases are fun!

 

Yes, for an '86 IROC the TPI plate on the rear bumper cover should be silver.
