Anyone else feel this way ?

Wasn't sure where to put this sooo......

I bought my GTA as a roller and have only sat in it a couple times (prep'n engine for install), My DD is a Jeep XJ roll'n on oversized tires.

This is what my GTA feels like;

Ha! Do you get use to it ?

Ya, it's easy to drop yourself way down into the driver's seat. Takes a bit of lifting to get my ever expanding a$$ out of it though.

When I was 24 years old, I bought a brand new 92 Formula and daily drove it for 2 years and didn't ever think about how low seat position was. Couldn't do it today anymore, at my age F-bodies are for joy rides only.

BTW: My favourite character in the commercial is the little old lady with the bird cage.

I get the feeling,I have the slouch into the seat down but the dismount is rarely very graceful,I try to enter and exit without hanging onto the doors or steering wheel, my column and door pins are not smoked yet and I try to keep them that way.

It's a learning experience,after replacing or rebuilding your steering column,I bet you don't use it for lifting yourself anymore(I don't),after you replace your cracked console lid I bet you don't lean on anymore(I don't).That's two just off the too of my head for now,but I'm sure there's hole heck of a lot more.

Re: Anyone else feel this way ?

I'm young, so getting in and out is not a bother at all, other than the fact you pretty much have to fall into the seat.

I don't use anything to support myself when entering or exiting either, because it puts wear on those items.

Re: Anyone else feel this way ?

I drove an f-body from the age of 16-21 everyday year round and never had a problem getting in or out. Now my dd is a 4x4 3/4 ton pickup and I drive dump trucks and heavy equipment all day long. When I get into my '87 IROC I feel like I'm sitting on the floor and I have to roll my old butt out of the car lol!

Don't use the cup holders to close the door! They crack the first time. Other than that, I love getting into the car and the low driving position. Makes you hungry for winding, twisty roads.
