Car: A Camaro of some sort.
Texas Highway Patrol Cars (B4C question)

Does anyone positively know what color they came from the factory in? I know about the maroon/white combo which the patrol cars were eventually painted but just wondering how they looked coming off the transporter. My car is white right now and I can see traces of the maroon but I also found a small beige piece of paper under the carpet which said "color blk/blk" on it.

Appreciate any info.

It may be different for different years, regions, customers, etc., but I ran the VIN from this '91 B4C through compnine.com, and it came back as an Arctic White/Gray car if that helps.

Re: Texas Highway Patrol Cars (B4C question)

the car could technically be ordered in any color they probably wanted... Most of the B4C cars were White, but that is meaningless, I am sure there are some special blue ones out there that were ordered for the MI state Police...

Re: Texas Highway Patrol Cars (B4C question)

I should add that I would think most of them would be white or Black... Then the police department could paint them, Many of the B4C cars I have seen have been White...

It all depends on the PD.

I spoke with Jerry Newberry, whom was the special divisions manger(arbitrary title as I cannot remember) but he took delivery of all 1-91 B4Cs in the 90s. He said the cars came in any color and were painted black and white in Austin once received from Knapp Chevrolet in Houston.
