5.0 Litre HO vs 5.0 Litre F.I. Decal Question

My 85 TA graphics have been replaced by the last owner. He put new graphics on the car and stupidly chose not to repaint it before he did this.

He bought the Phoenix Graphics 85-86 kit. The car currently has 2 '5.0 Liter H.O.' decals on the front fenders as well as the fade dot strips and the hood bird.

I'm repainting my car so all the decals have to go. After the repaint, I want to return it to stock appearance as much as possible so I will be ordering a new decal kit.

My engine is the 305 TPI so it's safe to say I would need 2 '5.0 Liter F.I.' decals correct as supplied from the factory.

I'm guessing there were mistakes from Van Nuys and Norwood where they would put 5.0 Liter H.O. decals on TPI cars.

Sorry for the Litre typo in the title. I got French Canadian dyslexic for a moment.

That's the same spelling on the shaker hood scoop of a 403ci 1977-79 T/A, so that's the spelling I use everywhere also. IMO, everyone else is wrong

Maybe they were replaced ay one time or another and the previous owner was to cheap to buy the F,I. decals as they are extra with the set you get from Phoenix Graphics.

I If you do order yours from PG make sure you ask for the pre cut version,
I had no luck with the rolled up ones.

Re: 5.0 Litre HO vs 5.0 Litre F.I. Decal Question

I actually think that my decals were actually Litre, not Liter.. on my Hood Scoop for My Formula... I might be wrong, but it has been some times since I looked at them...

Re: 5.0 Litre HO vs 5.0 Litre F.I. Decal Question

I stand corrected, should have looked before speaking... My decals do say Liter, I have an NOS one here in my office... along with a pair NOS Firehawk 91-92 Fascia Emblems...
