We need this. It's been too long and we have been teased with GTA's, Z28's but it is time surely for the beloved IROC. Any rumours? Anyone know anything?

I've seen 1:24 and 1:64 scale but not 1:18.

I have the SUNSTAR 1982 Z28, quality is ok... seen better, but the Greenlight GTA & TTA are fantastic IMHO...
I have been after them to make a Formula... With no luck either.

Re: Please, please, please release a 1/18 IROC
I was working with Peachstate GMP a few years ago and they were interested in doing this, but they mentioned the economy wasn't in our favor at that time. It wasn't long that Peachstate went under. They are now Acme. I also contacted ERTL and they had interest. I provided them both with all of the different cars they could produce from the same basic mold with minor changes needed to continue making more cars.
Update before I even posted....I just called Acme and Ertl and I'll update with any info I can as I get it.

Honestly, if we just ping their email with requests, we could change their minds. If we all did it at the same time, it would be suspicious, but if we put it out there over the months, a few every week, we might get them done.
I want one just like Scott's car... Unfortunately even brand new, it would not look as good as the real thing

Re: Please, please, please release a 1/18 IROC
Perseverance is the key. I know that I and several other owners barraged the diecast companies for years before Greenlight opened the door for us GTA'ers. Lucky for us, we had the 20th T/As to get us in that door to start with. Then it was like "you know, with a recast V8 engine, you all could open a whole new market." Thankfully they listened to us, and we were off to the races...
Now if we could just get them to do the '88 Notchback and the '91-'92 cars, we'd be set. But just hang in there...and keep after those companies non-stop.

Re: Please, please, please release a 1/18 IROC
Not sure if anyone has thought of this since we all know IROC is the International Race Of Champions, it may be a hurtle to overcome with them. Although it is now defunct, someone probably still owns the rights to the name, and whoever makes the die cast, in order to use the name they might need either "permission" or pay a royalty to use the name.

Nah, there have been others who've used it. The most recent was Hot Wheels last year and before that was Jada that made the pro street incorrect looking IROC-Zs.

Great stuff. If somebody could compile a basic list of e-mail contacts at the larger die cast makers then like you guys say- let's pester them. It would be an insane feeling of accomplishment if we pull this off. Power of the people and all that!

Well, it's not an IROC, but here's an 89 GTA:

There's also a black with gold firebird and gray one, but they won't link correctly.
