heres a all original 87 iroc that i recently purchased with 61k .. only thing not original is the tires and battery .. what do you guys think

Did all the 87 irocs with the 5.7 come with 3.27 gears ?

 

Yes thats true. All of the 1987 IROC's with the L98 came with 3.27 gears. For 1988-1989 the G92 performance gear became 3.27 and the non-G92 gear became 2.77.

 

Does it have power windows..I bought one just like it but no power windows

 

yes the car has power windows, locks and hatch

 

If you don't mind me asking...What did you pay for it...ps my thread is right under yours 1987 iroc z hardtop 5.7

 

i just checked out your car .. nice car and nice price .. i paid 5800.00 for mine it is completely original and in excellent condition .. needs nothing

 

Mine needs nothing also..i got lucky beginning of year sale I guess..But i have no power locks,windows,or trunk..You have a nice car good luck

I took it for its first ride a few weeks ago .. forgot how fun these cars were to drive .. ran excellent , but definitely needs a louder exhaust .. think im going to go with the Magnaflow ..

 

There's a guy with an '87 Formula 350 in my neighborhood that appears to be completely stock. When he drives by I can't even hear him.

 

WOW!! I want that Car! My Aunt had one just like that except it was an '86 Only difference was it was the 5.0 TPI and still had the round shiftter and round ****.

I noticed though that yours doesn't have the electric rear window defroster switch, the box on the right side of the cluster is just blank.

 

What a gorgeous car and a total score at that price!! Love that color combo on an 87 especially being a 5.7L hardtop too!! Would love to see more pics!

 

How in the world did you get an all original first year L98 car with 61,000 miles for $5,800?! Never repainted? Documented for mileage?

 

all original down to the factory exhaust .. battery and tires are not original and thats it .. no paint work anywhere .. this is my ninth iroc ive owned and cant believe how clean it is ..

now how did i get it : i was searching craigslist and found it in iowa .. a small classic car dealership took it in on trade on a 69 camaro .. the owner of the dealer said he wanted nothing to do with it cause it was a late model car .. the guy wanted 6500.00 for it and i got it for 5800.00 ..

Ah, makes more sense now. What an epic score. That's the condition mine was when I got it. Still pretty much the same, but I had to do the exhaust at least and a few other little things.
