Can anybody help me with this?
I live in the UK and have been offered a 1991 Camaro RS (supposedly) minus engine and box for a good price. The VIN is 1G1FP23EXML123505. Everything is there except for the above mentioned items. Obviously, if I buy this car I have to put it back to standard to "fit" properly with the ECU. I understand it was a manual and had a 5 litre TBI motor in it. What transmission do you think was in this car? Is there a code name for this so I can get one found?
Is it possible from the VIN to find this out, or do I have to go to the option codes in the glovebox? Can the RS be confirmed also?
Any help would be appreciated.

If it was a manual it was a Borg Warner T5, if it was an automatic it would have been a 4L60
