This isn't exactly my style, but I figured someone here would be interested in this. Car looks pretty damn clean, and RED. No price listed but it isn't too far away from me, so if anyone's genuinely interested and wants to reach out to the owner, I'd be happy to go take a look in person. A third gen with under 500km (288mi) but be pretty neat to see in person!

Never understood why people decided to store fairly undesirable cars back in the day, it's like buying a new non V8 nothing special Camaro and tucking it away for life. Some day this car that has been preserved for 28 years will probably end up getting a v8 swapped in it anyways

Whole lotta red going on there.

Theory: Bought the car, had remorse, parked it, perhaps?

Maybe, but usually with remorse comes neglect and this car looks like it's been cared for. Must be disappointing to preserve a car and waste almost 30 years of enjoyment just to realise the car may not even pull 7k

Disappoint only happen if the last almost 30 years was all about the resell. I'm still happy with my 397,500 mile RS Camaro that I purchased new in May of 1990 Restoration & LS swap in 2015. Friends with high status cars like Corvette GrandSport's have even come to accept the RS and will park along side..wink. To most "civilians" any running driving 3rd Gen Camaro is an "IROC" these days.

That's a sweet looking car, and I bet it still gets more attention than the Vette haha

Thank you.
The RS gets more attention than I expected from pretty much everyone. Teens, 20's and up both men and women. They always seem to be into cars or had a 3rd Gen or similar or want one. The RS usually holds her own around other nice cars with folks that are into cars with cutouts open, hood popped revving the 383 LS1.

The GrandSport excels at getting attention too. It's mostly a different type of attention.
The GS definitely gets more attention from the 18-22 year old party girls and gold diggers.
They see a Grand $$port Corvette and seem think good times at a beach house, trips to Aspen Colorado and free party supplies are coming their way.
