Scrap (program) Lot in the UK - Third Gen in the bunch, looks to be in great shape

This reminds me of the US "Cash for Clunkers" program where perfectly good looking cars were turned over to be destroyed. Looks like a 3rd Gen got in the mix @ 3:12 and 5:15 marks.

So sad to see, but having "rescued" a 3rd Gen from overseas, I am glad I did. Who knows what subsequent owners might have done, given the incentive to surrender their vehicles.

Here's the link. Lots of neat cars:

I can't talk about "Cash for Clunkers." It makes me see red. Takes me to a very dark and cold place that I don't want to be. I made the mistake of watching videos of beautiful GTAs and Formulas years ago being destroyed all for a useless, god-forsaken program....ok no I'm not going there... Anyway, I can't unsee those videos and have tried to block it all out along with the hatred I felt for the owners who turned them in.

When the resale of my Jeep Grand Cherokee was in the toilet, I tried to junk it through Cash for Clunkers. Why not... But then, they said it did not qualify. Sigh. Sold it on CL for $4,500 and let the next guy get 12 mpg.

And I'm not even allowed to say why.
