Pull down motor question
Pull down motor question
What is my best option for replacing a broken hatch pull down motor in a 1991 camaro. It seems to have a broken solonoid and will no longer work. I was barely able to get it shut.
I was wondering if anybody had experience with aftermarket ones or if I need to junkyard hunt.
Thank you

Re: Pull down motor question
I rebuilt mine using parts from TDS, new TDS Guides, new motor, new gear nut, new TDS reinforced housing and Lon's rebuilt reversing switch. Was pretty easy.

Re: Pull down motor question
Every time I have one fail, I rebuild it with a welder..... works every time and it's free.

Re: Pull down motor question
I was able to fix mine, not much to it. TDS has all the parts that are still available.
