It actually gets me excited that maybe it is time to really start working hard on my 89 Formula 350 convertible... I might be able to Auction it off for a decent amount now.... Now should I install front 1LE brakes or not???

Those miles include driving to, driving on and driving home from Lime Rock Park for a track day where I spanked it...like I had a trailer in the paddock. It almost made it home too but the alternator had decided at some point that it didn't like 6000 RPM and quit working and the battery gave up when it got dark. All of that got fixed after the track day, prior to it, a set of NOS 1LE front calipers got mounted, new hoses, new bearings all new brake fluid and power steering fluid. That car I would have taken cross country without blinking.

With more money in the room, I think they would have rung the bell.
I think the auction result is great - clean, honest cars with some mileage and easily correctable needs (headliner) are starting to bring more money. Five years ago, we'd all be predicting $10-15k tops due to mileage and the fact that the cars aren't in 1000 point concourse condition.

Interestingly, I think this 'bird and 1LE are great examples of the best cars you can buy right now - you can drive and enjoy them, they'll still look good at a show or cruise night, and they're not depreciating anymore unless you do something stupid to them.
