I'm new to Third Gen

Hello, I pulled out a barn find and I'm researching it. It's a 1989 IROC Z28. I ran all the codes that were on the Service Parts Identification sticker and the car has a lot of extra goodies.

For the purpose of my question some of the codes are,

B2L (5.7), GH3 (2.77 rear axle), G80 (posi), Z28 (Merc pkg), UB3 (cluster), D6E,E5Z,E9Z etc....

So here's my question, the car has a 145 mph speedometer how did this speedo get installed if G92 was not on its Service Parts Identification sticker?

Ray Jr, Chazman and Dagwood, Thanks for the info. I'll be dropping everything under the car, cleaning / blasting, re painting and reinstalling.
I think I'll be dropping the engine out from the bottom because I'll be dropping the suspension anyway... Any thoughts?

Hi Chazman, I see you have a 1989 also. I un-buried the car and hosed it off before it went on the flatbed. oops, well I had a picture but I cant seem to upload it.

At the top of the reply box there is an icon that looks like a postcard with mountains on it. Click on that and it will prompt you.
