86 iroc decal?

Hi folks hope I'm posting this in the right location. I have a question regarding iroc badges and such. Taking a look on the forum I found a lot of info but in my endless investigation of my cars history I still have a question. My understanding, is on the 86 iroc, the only IROC specific exteriour decal identifiers should be on the front part of the doors, with "no" other IROC badging on the exterior. On the interior the dash emblem should be the z28 with iroc z under it. Have I got this correct? I ask cause mine has only z28 in orange. I realize it could have been swapped out over the years, but when I pulled the dash, in my opinion it looked like it was stock.

Thx
Dave

Check your RPO codes in the console and look for B4Z. This is the IROC option on a Z28. If It doesn't have the B4Z but does have the Z28 RPO then your dash emblem with only Z28 is correct since you don't have the IROC option. If you do have B4Z then it has been changed at some time.

ya its an iroc i was only wondering if the dash had been swapped. If it was swapped, the dude did a good job because everything was in place including original speakers ect. Thx

Dave, you are correct. The emblem should say Z28 with IROC-Z under it.

The emblem can be swapped without the entire dash being replaced.
