I stumbled across this pic and I don't know what the deal is. Obviously, it's a brand new car....but a prototype, maybe? The mirrors aren't even painted.

Believe European export as Canadian had the traditional mirrors
This must be an export. They put them on for europe export, most countrys require breakaway mirrors like us here in germany. So you bought the car new with the DD9 paddles, swapped them back to DG7 and no one will ever check them for breakaway again. Stupid law... nearly everyone swapped them immediately to the DG7 and tosses the DD9 in the trash.
But they were only installed on factory exports with RPO MAE. If you bought a car new in the US without being an export model and bring it to germany, no one needed to swap to the DD9. Crazy... my 88 GTA is a domestic US car... came to germany in 89... never had DD9. My 92 is an export MAE car and came factory with the DD9... and was swapped back to DG7 a few weeks after first registration.
I guess I didn't know there were wheel weights on the outside of the wheels from the factory, either.. I guess I just assumed they were on the inside only

Paddle mirrors also on the Japanese exports. I found one up here in Canada a couple years back ... sent overseas, and then imported to Canada (1 of 50 exports). Still had the funky mirrors. Also different was the radio for the different frequencies used there, and the rear taillights. The one I fount was a Vert. But being in a place close to the sea ... had the start of rust in odd places not normally seen where I live.
