I'm not sure what's so funny. I don't know what is that person's story, maybe they're down on hard times. Although I am going to laugh if your car is now missing a Z28 badge.

I work in a body shop, and have actually seen a lot worse, lol. We have a Lincoln MKZ in the shop right now that had prior front end damage. They had shims attached to the radiator support that were actually made from old lawn mower blades, and held in with a wedge cut from a piece of 2 inch steel pipe. Wood screws holding the headlight in, too. The car is totalled this time, and the owner wanted to buy the car back from the insurance company and fix it.. we told him that he does NOT want that car, lol. It's unbelievable that people put stuff together like that.

My friend has a 86ish Saleen mustang, the fiberglass bodywork is held on with wood screws and was body worked over the screws. Strait from Saleen.

I went to inspect a 93 Saleen for a friend and saw the same thing on that and they were exposed....

Even more crazy, the car was a convertible. The luggage rack was removed when new by Saleen. They welded the holes but never refinished the underside of the deck lid. It was bare metal. Steve Saleen even signed the underside of the decklid. Ha!

Okay, I'm dense. What is a "haircut" car? And what are the bleeped out words in the thread title?

80s/90s Factory custom cars are the worst. Don't put your hand under the wheel arches extensions on a GNX, they just buzzed the wheel arches off with a zip saw and left it all exposed.

my 90' Turbo Grand Prix are a night mare that way, pop rivets, self tapping screws everywhere. Hand modified panels to clearance the intercooler fan. That's just how ASC shipped em.
