2 days ago, I received the GM Heritage Certificate. My '84 T/A has a almost 3 pages of options. However, G80 is not an included option - Positraction. I will solve that problem next spring.

G80 was optional on the Trans Am in 1984. Additionally, in 1983, there was a shortage of the G80 that led to some orders getting changed to delete the G80.

I have nightmares about this stuff!
I had to live (work) through many similar situations over the years...

LOL! Thanks for bringing back my PTSD.

Re: GM Heritage Certificate
They should have put posi units in every Z28, Formula, and Trans Am car. They got it right on the 4th gens in that dept anyways.

I totally agree. Before I bought the T/A, I was cross shopping Mustangs. It was disappointing that the GT package automatically got you a limited slip differential, while in the GM world is was not standard in the Z28 and T/A packages. Same with 4-wheel discs, gas struts, and a few other things which made sporadic guest appearances in the GM products. Not to mention the tubular exhaust manifolds, dual exhaust...if that first Mustang convertible I looked at had not had a small accident in it's past, I probably wouldn't be here. That could be good or bad news for you as the reader, depending on your point of view!

They should have put it on every V8 car. Period. It's embarrassing having a car that sounds like this, but has a peg leg.

Honestly in the 1980s, The Cars produced such little power...
They were not much fun to drive, and some did not have enough power to spin both Tires with Posi.

Re: GM Heritage Certificate
I think, someone will have to correct me if I am wrong.
WS6 and WY5 were the same in 83/84 except the WY5 was without G80
WS7 and WY6 were the same in 83/84 except the WY6 was without G80
WS6 and WS7 were the same except WS7 had drum brakes, and WS6 was Disc Brakes.

WS6, WS7, WY5, WY6 were options on both the Trans Am and the S/E
