This past Sunday, I removed the driver's seat & underneath between the foam & the springs I located the build sheet. I removed it carefully but the left edged was damaged. However, I know that the original dealer was Sullivan Pontiac Buick currently in Houston British Columbia. When I get the sheet mounted, I will post a picture. Now I have that sheet & window sticker sheet.

Cool. I found one of my build sheets in the exact same place.
I never have figured out why, if these sheets were usually thrown out or placed haphazardly throughout the car at the factory, why someone would go to the trouble to place it between the springs and foam during seat assembly. Maybe it was already stuck to the foam before it got to the seat assembly stage...
As per the build sheets in seat - Most likely the seats were build at a separate factory (trim plant) & a copy of the build sheet would have been sent to the trim plant & they would fabricate the seats for material & colour based on the codes on the build sheet & vin#. They would then be shipped back to, in my case, Van Nuys and assembly, placed in position so that when the car came down the line the correct seats would be installed in the car by vin #.
I still believe that there is another build sheet/broadcast sheet in the car most likely on top of the gas tank.
Actually, there were several build sheets for each car as I know of owners of a-body gm cars in the 60's & 70's who have found several sheets when they restored their cars.

Nice find. Being an exported car do you have 2 emission and hose routing sticks 1 stuck on top of another? I have seen this on 86 iroc-zs
My '84 T/A (an export car to Canada) had three TVS units with multiple Vacuum lines - two on the thermostat housing & the other on the intake manifold next to the therm housing.
As u know the tvs (temp vacuum switches) stayed closed until the engine temp reached ~~160-180* for emissions standards. I have removed all these tvs & associated vacuum lines.
I removed the egr valve & butterfly in the heatriser. All necessary vacuum lines are connected directly to the associated ports on the QJ. Thus, vacuum is available as soon as the engine starts. There is another vacuum source with two lines for the cruise control tank & vacuum for the 700-4r at the rear of the intake manifold but no tvs required.

That sounds very reasonable. I never considered the build sheet's use outside the assy line. I have never removed my gas tank but I did find one between the rear seat and quarter trim panel, partially sticking out.

With the muscle cars of the '60's & early '70's, only the build sheet or the window sticker can verify the validity of the car. For instance, a 1970 Chevelle SS396 or SS454, unless it was built in Canada or imported by GM Canada (which has all the records for imported or built in Canada - Chevrolet U.S. does not) the car's pedigree cannot be proven. Pedigree = $$$ . Too many ss396 & ss454 cars being purported to be real with no docs. Otherwise it is a clone.
I owned a 1972 Buick GS 350 with build sheet & gm Heritage documentation. This proved the car to be real. I sold this car a few days before I purchased my '84 T/A.
