Last Norwood Firebird

Seen a couple of threads on the last Norwood Camaro but nothing on the last Firebird? Anyone have any info about it like its options, its whereabouts, etc?

The door jam sticker puts my car at 08/87 so it was in the last month of production. It’s not the last bird built there for sure but it’s kind of a cool fact about a pretty ordinary third gen.

I think someone had dug it up or was it the last 92? Think it was the 92, it's totaled iirc

Man, that’s really unfortunate. Especially when the last Norwood Camaro has become a museum piece, meanwhile the last bird… not so much.

Re: Last Norwood Firebird

For some reason I think the last 87 Firebird for 1987 Norwood was Black Base Firebird. Maybe I am mixing it up with the last 1992 Van Nuys Firebird.

The last Van Nuys bird was a black base car. I don’t know about Norwood.

Re: Last Norwood Firebird

I think I saw a vin sequence number for the last Norwood bird buried in another thread but I haven’t been able to find it again. It would be pretty cool to track this bird down even if it’s interest is kinda niche.

Re: Last Norwood Firebird

Found the supposed vin I was thinking of under the last Norwood camaro thread: hthttps://www.thirdgen.org/forums/history-originality/598228-last-norwood-camaro.html

Wasn’t a vin but does give us it’s sequence number. Turns out my car is within the last 2,000 produced. Doesn’t really help track down the last Norwood Firebird though.
