There is not a lot of data to be decoded on the radiator tags.

C - 1982 Model Year
09C - September, 3rd week
29L and 29U - Dark Blue Metallic Upper and Lower (W) Water Based paint
AR9 - Reclining seats
CC1 - T-Top
S - Radio code

Again, the radiator tag does not contain a lot of data to decode. The only options are to find a build sheet, which could be anywhere in the car and may not even be in the car - especially if a RH conversion was done, or order a copy of the invoice from GM.

Lastly, your VIN is wrong. There is no "I".

Re: trim /production tag decode

Actually, a couple more things.

26C is the interior code. That is Dark Blue Custom Cloth. Total production units are not known.
The H in your 1G1AP87HXCL215052 VIN indicates the RPO LG4 305ci 4-barrel carb engine built by Chevrolet. For the 1982 model year, there were 73,495 LG4 engines in Camaro.
The L in your VIN indicates that your car was built at the Van Nuys, California, assembly plant (Van Nuys is a suburb city of Los Angeles, so the L from Los was used).

Hope this helps.

Best,

Robert

Re: trim /production tag decode

Oh, I should have mentioned, if you have a Z28, there were 45,569 LG4 in the 1982 Z28.
